User Settings

Want to edit your individual agent settings? The User Settings page is probably what you're looking for.

Accessing User Settings

  • Click your agent avatar and display name in the lower left corner
  • Choose User Settings from the menu

Profile Section

Update your profile information here, including:

  • Display name: the name visitors see in the chatbox when chatting with you
  • Email
  • Timezone
  • Agent Avatar Photo: the image visitors see in the chatbox when chatting with you

Alert Sounds

Set your:

  • Sound: choose a unique sound from the dropdown menu
  • Volume
  • Opt to have the sound repeat until you've got the Olark window back in focus

Theme

Choose light or dark mode here.

Translation

This setting translates all incomign messages into your preferred language and outgoing messages into your visitor's detected language. Choose:

  • Automatically translate messages: toggle this on for automatic translation
  • Your Preferred Language: the language you see messages in

In App Notifications

Automatically dismiss in-app notifications, like save or copy confirmations.

  • Add, edit, or delete personal shortcuts
  • View team shortcuts (so you don't duplicate)
