You can connect Olark to almost any app that supports the Jabber or XMPP protocol, whether for your PC or Mac computer, tablet or mobile.

There is a full list of available XMPP apps for all Operating Systems at xmpp.org/xmpp-software/clients/

  1. Start your instant message program and locate the menu where you can add a new Jabber or XMPP account (usually in preferences or settings).

  2. Fill in the following as requested. Not all of these will be needed.

    • Protocol: XMPP or Jabber
    • Username: YOUR-OLARK-USERNAME
    • Domain: olark.com
    • Jabber ID: **YOUR-OLARK-USERNAME**@olark.com
    • Password: The password you use to log into Olark.com
    • Port: 5222
    • Server: olark.com
    • Use SSL/TLS: Yes
    • Allow plaintext authentication: Yes
