Connect ChatGPT to Olark so you can ask questions about your chat transcripts. A workspace admin adds the connector, then each person signs in with Olark. Setup usually takes 5–10 minutes after an admin can add connectors.

Things you’ll need

  • ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, or Edu on the web.

  • An admin or owner who can add a custom connector.

  • The Olark server URL:

Connect Olark

An admin or owner does the first steps.

  1. Confirm the workspace lets an admin add a custom MCP server. ChatGPT calls this developer mode or Apps, depending on the current workspace.
  2. Open Plugins or Apps, click the Add button, then choose Add custom MCP server. Name it Olark.
  3. Paste https://mcp.olark.com/mcp.
  4. Choose OAuth sign-in, acknowledge the warning, and sign in with your Olark account.
  5. Approve access.

Use the Olark account that can view the transcripts you want ChatGPT to search. After the connector exists, other people in the workspace sign in with their own Olark accounts.

Check that it works

In a conversation where Olark is available, ask:

Using Olark, list 3 chat topics from the last 24 hours.

ChatGPT should answer from your chats and include links to transcripts when it can. If Olark is not enabled for that conversation, turn it on and ask again.

After you connect

Ask for a time period and the shape of the answer you want. More example prompts, the transcript filters, bot tools, and the search limits are in the Olark MCP server guide. Each search returns up to 100 matching transcripts, and transcript searching is limited to 60 requests an hour for each Olark site.

On the AI Connector page, an administrator can turn on Redact personal information. Olark then masks names, email addresses, phone numbers, and similar details in results before they are returned. Masking reduces exposure, but it can miss details or mask the wrong text.
