  • This requires more investigation. Could you please create a support ticket for this issue at support@olark.com. include your account email and webiste URL where Olark is installed so we can check out what's going on for you.

  • edit: "inheriting" in the title should be "assuming", since box-sizing isn't inheritable
  • What's your site URL so we can check it out?
  • Site URL so we can check it out? Being on the free plan has no bearing on this. It's not in any documentation because it is not a known bug. Let me have your site URL so i can see what you're seeing and take a look at your account configuration.

  • I agree with kganders. Our sales team would love to have canned responses for some of our pricing information.

I'll have to look into 3rd party freeware that bill_t mentions to see if we can figure something out for them to use for now.
  • There is a good extension (in the rules section), where in if a user has been browsing for quite a few no. of pages, then the chat box initiates itself with your set custom message.

Plus we have been experimenting with the looks of the chat box, the black smooth one (with the rounded edges ... glass i think) which is the one thats on olark.com as well works the best.
  • How would you feel about just disabling the email field?
  • Nice ideas, thanks Karalyn. I particularly like the group aspects of round robin or catch-all.

not sure I understand the use case for #3

Thanks for sharing, I'll make sure these ideas get to the product team.

  • Hi Bill,

I tested it and it looks like pop outs are still going to all groups. Do I need to update anything?

  • I agree.. I always like a clean look and click to chat button. Thanks for posting this.
  • I love this one I found today during a live chat. A nice little custom hack to have the chat box slide out fro the side:

  • You can put greeting messages to help initiate chat by using our Greeter function (olark.com account dashboard) or the Targeted chat rules of engagement utility. But no, not an automatic response to visitor's chat. No bot stuff.
  • dude, thanks. you are the awesome!!
  • You can add text and html into the messaging fields (greeting, offline message, etc...) but not onto the chatbox itself by the "powered by Olark" branding
  • Yeah, first off the chat has to finish(e.g. closing the browser) and 4 minutes is an average time for the transcripts to be ported.
  • Here's a list of CRM platforms we have integrations in place for: http://www.olark.com/customer/portal/articles/309946-can-i-have-a-complete-list-of-crm-platforms-that-olark-integrates-with-

  • not at present, sorry.
  • Are you trying to initiate chats from the demo account or from your own website?

    Bill T
  • nope, as we don't queue the chat requests. In normal mode all chats are open to all ops and in Round Robin, the chats get sent to each available operator one by one.
  • tutorial coming soon...
  • Domo Bill!
