Magento is an eCommerce software and platform used by many of the internet's leading brands.

Magento 1 setup steps

If you're using Magento 1, here's how to integrate your site with Olark live chat:

1. Log into your Magento store administration account.

2. From your store's Admin Panel home screen, click Content.

3. Select Design

4. Click Configuration

5. In the Design Editor, scroll down to the Footer section and locate the Miscellaneous HTML text area. Log in and copy your Olark embed code and paste it into the text area.

6. Be sure to click Save Config, then go to your Magento store front to check out your new Olark chat box.

Magento 2 setup steps

Using Magento 2? You can also use the manual installation process to embed your Olark chat widget in the same way:

1. From your Magento dashboard, click on Content, and then Design > Configuration

1. From your Configuration page, click on Edit under the Action section for the site you're wanting to install Olark on.

2. Under Other Settings, click on Footer and copy/paste your Olark installation code in the Miscellaneous HTML field, like so:

Be sure to verify that your unique 13-digit Olark Site ID is correct within that installation code, and then click the orange Save Configuration button to complete the process!
