JIRA Service Desk integration guide
On August 31, 2019, Olark will be retiring our integration with Jira Service Desk.
It’s never easy to retire a feature. Unfortunately, we’ve received numerous reports of major issues with the Jira Service Desk integration — you’ve likely noticed some of these problems yourself. After investigating, we’ve come to the difficult conclusion that we can’t reasonably expect to provide a good experience for Service Desk users. We’re bummed, but stability and quality are very important to us, and we’re not comfortable continuing to offer a feature that doesn’t work consistently.
If you want to continue sending Olark data to Jira Service Desk, you do have some options! We recommend setting up a custom integration via Webhooks; both Olark and Jira Service Desk integrate with Zapier, as well.
Note: This change won’t affect our integration with Jira’s project and issue tracking software; we’re just retiring the Service Desk integration.
