error in internet explorer
Hello I am a site developer in Brazil and installed the code of Olark giving this error in Internet Explorer in all versions can someone help me?
Att,
Leandro Almeida
Hi Leandro,
I took a look at your website and there appears to be a bug with Internet Explorer 9. When I view your website in IE9 for the first time I am able to see the chat box. However, when I refresh the page, the chat box disappears. I tested your website in IE8, as well as in Chrome and Firefox, and it appears to be working properly in all of these other browsers.
If you would like to see the chat box in IE9, I suggest that you clear out your cache / delete your cookies, and then the page should load with the chat box. I will file a bug for our engineering team and we will let you know if we are able to resolve the problem.
Hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Best,
-Lindsay

Eduardo,
IE9 is often ranked the worst in rendering issues, compared to other browsers.
Also, I see this issue was resolved a few months ago. I tried to browse your website, but it appears that the Olark code is not on it any longer.
If you could provide a link to the page that is having this issue, i can look into it for you.
Cheers,

@Mauro
Please could you describe the issue you are having in more detail?

I too am having this issue. IE9 displays the chat bar fine. Onhover it triggers a browser compatibility mode refreshing the page where the bar disappears. Cleared cookies and cache with no benefit.

Hi, I'm seeing the chat tab display properly in all browsers but IE7. Is IE7 officially supported by Olark? Thanks
Hello Martin,
There should be no reason why it would not work on IE7, assuming the code on your site is not causing issues with our widget. Send an email to us @ support@olark.com with more details and I will be happy to look into it for you.
