Start using our Desk.com integration to create potential leads and add tags for later use, even while you are busy chatting to your website's visitors.
- Begin with our integration page, where you can connect several leading CRM apps with Olark. Here you will see empty text fields, where you will need to enter information from Desk itself.
- In you Desk.com Admin Dashboard, to go Settings, API Applications and finally Add API Application.
- Fill out the information exactly as you see in the screenshot (Callback URL and Support URL should be left blank). Don't forget the http://, or it won't work!
- Click Your Access Token to reveal your Key and Secret. Copy each of these two pieces of information, and paste them into the matching field on the Olark integration page.
- We recommend enabling the pre-chat survey in your Olark settings. This prompts the visitor to enter their name and email address before starting a chat.
- If you use the !lead command, we will generate a link to the case in Desk.com, where you can find the chat transcript. Alternatively, use the !tag command to add a tag to the case in Desk.com, in order to keep track of important keywords related to each customer.
