Desk.com Integration Tutorial

Using Olark with Desk.com

You're talking with your customers, now build a relationship with them.

Anyone with Olark on their site can tell you about all the candid user feedback they get. But you want more than that: maybe you want to follow up on a previous chat, or you want to review past conversations you've had with a visitor before e-mailing them.

  1. So you're sitting on our integration page. Where do you get the information you need?

  2. Go to your Desk.com Admin Dashboard, under Settings > API Applications > Add Api Application

  3. Fill out the information exactly as you see in the screenshot (Callback URL and Support URL should be left blank). Don't forget the http://, or it won't work!

  4. Copy that information in to the form, click on Your Access Token to get the Token and Token Secret. After that, click Save on our integration page and you should be all set!

  5. When visitors come to your site, they will chat with you like normal. You might want to enable pre-chat survey so you know their name and e-mail address.

  6. If you type lead , we'll send you a link to the interaction in Desk.com.
